Where it all Began

Growing up I was never very social, I wore big thick glasses, and had explosive curly hair that was often put in a high ponytail to keep it from getting tangled. My favorite subjects were science and Math or they were up until in middle school when I took my first Coding Class.

Now before then I Had heard of Code and took part in some of the simple online games that simplify code to just sections of words like Scratch.mit.edu and Light bot but that class was the first time I was introduced to the actual writing of code and not just putting word boxes together. In that class we used a software known as Eclipse which uses java, we were taught the basics of software and after writing my fist set of code, A simple print line, something in me clicked and I knew this is what I wanted to do. I would end up spending any free time at school in that class.

Now while I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in Programming, I haven’t really taken the step until now. So, my goal with this Blog is not only to document my journey for future review and to have something to look back on but also to allow others to see my journey and maybe inspire them to start on one themselves so now I hope you follow along on my journey to go from Passion to Professional.
